QA/QC Technician - Piqua, OH
Due to continued growth, Hobart Service is looking for an experienced Quality Technician to join the Service Parts Distribution Center Quality Team.

Reporting directly to the Quality Supervisor, the role will ensure the quality of ITW FEG service parts through inspections and various testing methodologies.  This includes extensive contact with Troy/Piqua personnel, ITW FEG Business Units, the field service organization and customers.

Responsibilities (80% Core Essential Functions):
  • Schedule and perform inbound part inspections.
  • This includes first article inspections for newly loaded parts and current parts that have changed suppliers.
  • Work with SPDC buyers and Suppliers to promptly reject non-conformance parts.
  • Work with SPDC buyers and Suppliers to implement a corrective action plan to prevent future non-conformance issues.
  • Investigate requests from SPDC customer care, the field service organization and customers of current stock non-conformance.
  • Work with technical support and product engineering on quality issues that affect both Production and Service.
  • Working with Field Returns, validate that all field return parts are complete and still in new, sale-able condition.
  • Assist receiving dock when there is evidence of shipping damage.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Accredited HS diploma or GED
  • 5+ years quality control experience
  • Ability to read engineering prints and other technical documentation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Must be organized, detail oriented and a problem solver.
  • Must be able to work independently and self-motivated.
  • Flexibility – Ability to adapt quickly to changing demands, assignments and circumstances.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associates degree in a technical discipline (quality, engineering, drafting) 
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or similar ERP software
  • Product knowledge of ITW FEG equipment
