Position Summary:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, power supplies, drive, motors, and test equipment.
  • Informs appropriate management and line mechanics of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved.

  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Installs, starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in line with OSHA requirements.

  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas incorporating 5S standards.
  • Perform machinist duties and responsibilities by utilizing Tool Room Machinery/ Fabrication equipment.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervisor.
  • Troubleshoot PLC through the controller to check perimeters.
  • Install control modules for Omron or Allen Bradley PLCs and set parameters.
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

  • High School diploma or equivalent & 5-7 years manufacturing maintenance experience. Associates degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance a plus. Journey Card a plus.

  • Experience with mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems as well as PLC and HVAC experience is a plus

  • Able to read and interpret work procedures and blueprints.

  • Possess an understanding of 5S and Copy Exact and have the ability to support change control procedures.

  • Strong verbal communication skills to communicate across all levels of the organization.

  • Strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills.

  • Able to lift and/or move up to 75 lbs. and work overtime and different hours to support the business need.
