OVERVIEW:

Miller Electric Welding Safety and Health is the leader in welder protection and productivity through technological advancements in safety. Welder safety continues to be a high growth market for Miller Electric, so we are growing our Welding Safety Solutions Management team. This role is designed to drive revenue growth by delivering value added solutions to our welding customers. The right candidate will have the opportunity for broad exposure to our end users and sales channels; which will test your ability to focus on and influence key accounts and account leadership while driving strategies that foster growth across all levels of the market.

BASIC DESCRIPTION:

The Welding Safety Solutions Manager is responsible to develop and execute region specific strategies to drive revenue growth of Miller Safety Solutions, while working within the constructs of the 80/20 business philosophy. This position collaborates with the ITW Welding sales team to identify and support large end-user conversion opportunities with strategic distributor partners.

This position is based out of the southeast/mid-south regions serving Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Kentucky.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive profitable sales growth in the region within the context of the division’s strategies. This includes development of account selection, target account ownership, and working through other key sales partners to execute overall strategy.
  • Ability to influence decision makers and influencers, both external and internal.
  • Lead customer centered discussions at each stage of the sales process. Evaluate, progress, and close opportunities with a value centered approach.
  • Understand the needs of key distributors and help position strategic distributor partners and Miller sales team for success
  • Maintain consistent verbal and written communications and key activities between ITW sales leaders, regional team, distributor partners, key end users, and the Division.
  • Ability to apply 80/20 in management of territory and resources.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
  • Strong business acumen desired. Ability to utilize data to drive strategy and execution effectiveness to deliver differentiated results.
  • Strong desire for expanded responsibilities and career advancement.
  • Strong leadership presence and ability to articulate value.
  • Strong communication skills; verbal and written.
  • Minimum of 3 years prior end user sales experience with an emphasis on manufacturing.
  • Strong ability to carry the discussion and tie in the value of our offering to customer needs at all levels of an end user.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and CRM systems.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Must be a highly motived individual, who is aggressive and can work independently.
  • Must demonstrate sound judgement and be able to make independent decisions and follow through to completion.
  • Results oriented. Demonstrate experience driving results.
  • Ability to travel overnight at least 50%.
