Division Description: 

ITW EU Regional Accounts serves the European OEMs (Renault, PSA, Fiat, Volvo, JLR, Nissan) and their tier suppliers with plastic fasteners totaling approximately $218M in revenues.
Plants include:  Beauchamp and Ingwiller in France; Hone and Pralormo in Italy; Basingstoke, UK; Gothenburg, Sweden.

Position Summary:

The unit Controller will report to the Divisional Controller and will be responsible for preparing all the financial reports and statements under Local and US GAAP of the site. The Controller will also guarantee that all ITW policies and procedures are in place and being followed at the site.


  • Prepare the financial statements under Local and US GAAP, as well as all reports required by Corporate and the Divisional Controller.
  • Guarantee that ITW policies and procedures are in place and being followed at the site.
  • Provide the most accurate Outlook possible by anticipating trends based on data as CSM, backlog.
  • Detect, analyze, and explain deviations from Annual Plan and Outlook.
  • Take an active part in the preparation of the Annual Plan and the Long Range Plan.
  • Lead annual statutory audits and internal audits.
  • Track and analyze all financial KPI’s of the plant: optimization of the MOH, grading reserve reduction, overdues reductions, etc.
  • Approve CapEx and expenses according to Entreprise processes.
  • Help and educate professionals in the plant understand how their decisions will impact the financials.
  • Be the Operations Manager’s business partner: the Controller should work as a team with the Operations Manager and HR Manager to detect new opportunities, savings or explaining the story behind the numbers.

  • Manage Finance, Accounting and IT staff (6 people).
  • Liaise with top management and assist in the implementation of divisional strategic plans for financial activities, to ensure the integrity of quantitative and qualitative data and to present objective arguments based on facts, data and analysis.
  • Support ITW Leadership Development framework, developing talent within the business.  Identifies and develops key leaders for future roles. 
  • Conduct business in an ethical manner by following ITW Principles of Conduct.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, economics or equivalent; MBA appreciated
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience (general accounting with local GAAP), including 5 years in controls. Accounting experience in a US multinational is a plus (US GAAP).
  • English knowledge is a must.
  • Strong business analytical skills.
  • Solid financial abilities including working knowledge of budgeting, sales and business development.
  • Ability to manage complexity and change.
  • Ability to identify and develop future leaders/managers.
