Job Description

This position provides technical expertise and assistance to our customer base and our Regional Sales Managers. In addition, this role also provides support to our customers by overseeing and/or conducting audits and problem solving. Additionally, the Technical Sales Specialist provides support for targeted demonstrations in the field, assisting in product development and launch, evaluating product requirements in the field and work with R & D.



 



ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Provide technical expertise in conducting audits at designated customers and prepare written audit conclusions to Regional Sales Managers and Business Development Manager.



  • Provide technical expertise to the Regional Sales Managers in special demos, lamination analysis, equipment evaluations, and technical support.



  • Handle technical issues with certain assigned customers.



  • Assist in developing standard training courses and provide training to operators at customer facilities and internally within ITW Performance Polymers.



  • Provide assistance in analyzing product problems in the field when required. Follow up with documentation in the form of written reports on a timely basis.



  • Promote, support and adhere to all corporate ethics, expense controls, safety, environmental and quality related policies and procedures.



  • Support our international efforts, when needed.

Job Requirements

Skills and Competencies:



  • Five plus years’ experience in fiberglass lamination. Both open and closed molding.  Polyurethane experience is beneficial.  



  • Excellent hand-on skills in both spray application and in equipment operation.



  • Ability to understand and to operate varied industry spray equipment.



  • Ability to understand and to operate MMA equipment.



  • Excellent problem-solving skills. 



  • Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel and Power Point. 



  • Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills. 



  • Must be a team player. 



  • Must to be able to make a professional appearance and communicate well with customers. 



  • Extensive travel required -  predominately domestic but may require some international travel.
