The Manteno Operation (located 60 miles south of Chicago) is currently seeking a day shift team leader.  Hours are 6:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. three to four days per week (rotating schedule).

Responsibilities include:

. Ensure proper staffing is maintained on shift, i.e., making sure absences are covered, and that there is adequate manpower to cover shift assignments.  Efficient use of the workforce.

 . Prepare performance evaluations, conduct monthly coaching sessions with employees, and administer corrective action as needed.

 . Ensure all team members are properly trained to do their jobs and on new technologies/procedures that are introduced.

 . Know applicable OSHA regulations, and plant safety rules ensuring all employees are properly trained and follow safe work practices

 . Ensure that all quality procedures are consistently followed and all documentation is completed in an accurate and timely manner.

 . Ensure productivity and efficiency goals are met. Increase uptime through preventative maintenance, quick changeovers, improved start-ups.

 . Track and report team performance for scrap, uptime, set-up reduction, and customer returns.

 . Prepare and present team performance data in Info-Share meetings.

. Lead employee task forces and technical projects for continuous improvement.

 . Ensure that all Food Safety Programs and procedures are followed at all times.

 . Conduct regular and effective team meetings.

 . High School Diploma or GED (4 year degree preferred)

Able to prepare reports, presentations, analysis using Microsoft Office. 
Effective leader.

Previous supervision experience.
