Hobart Weigh/Wrap is part of the ITW Food Equipment Group. We are seeking a qualified Supplier Quality Manager. This position will be based in Troy, Ohio centrally located to Columbus, Dayton, and Cincinnati.  

Business Unit Qualifications

  •         Manage supplier quality assurance and supplier development activities to ensure the incoming material and services supplied are of the highest levels of quality and reliability.
  •        Drive supplier quality development to improve purchased parts quality, reliability, and reduce the cost of the supplier base.
  •         Manage Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and develop test plans to minimize risks (number of samples, test methods, etc.) when approving new suppliers, changes to existing parts, and new parts.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  •        BS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electro/Mechanical Engineering
  •        Minimum 5 years’ experience with suppliers, design engineering, or design quality
  •        20%-30% travel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Six Sigma, Lean, and Supply Chain Management
  • Risk Mitigation and component End of Life (EOL) experience
  •  8d methodology and root cause analysis
