Job Summary
The position will report to the Global Quality Manager and is responsible for meeting the expectations of ITW and its customers regarding Delivery and Quality of all products purchased through the supply base. Investigate, analyze and resolve supplier quality problems by conducting audits, analyzing defect trends and leading continuous improvement projects.

Primary Responsibilities

• Drive a culture of Safety, Wellness and ITW’s Core Values, ensuring proactive practices.
• Participate on the internal audit teams
• Work with supplier sourcing to ensure supplier performance is regularly reported and that appropriate and timely corrective actions are implemented
• Aide in the new, probationary, and rejected supplier transition processes
• Maintain and update critical supplier audit system and schedule
• Conduct supplier audits to drive process standardization, waste elimination, and continuous improvement
• Monitor, communicate and improve key supply chain KPI’s, including Defective Parts Per Million, Supplier On Time Delivery and waste
• Establish specific short / long term supplier quality goals
• Champion problem solving and root cause analysis activities with suppliers and customers to eliminate recurrences of non‐conformances
• Work to resolve supplier technical issues in a timely manner to ensure continuity of supply
• Develop long‐term supplier relationships and generate and implement cost reduction ideas
• Aide manufacturing in the evaluation and qualification of new supplier materials following a defined new product development process
• Drive “Zero Defect” mentality within the supply base
• Aide in the development of internal personnel to correctly identify and communicate supply chain issues in a timely fashion

Minimum Requirements

• Min 5+ years’ experience in relevant manufacturing/industrial processes
• Advanced knowledge in industrial/manufacturing quality standards, systems, and processes
• Successful Product Launch / Production Start-up experience including all documentation, testing, data collection, and reporting
• Experience supporting the APQP and PPAP process to successful conclusion
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 requirements (certified ISO internal auditor preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering Discipline or equivalent
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent is preferred
• Advanced computer skills using Microsoft Office
