About this Position

We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join the Offsite Team.  Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager ANZ , this role is responsible for positioning and strengthening the delivery of Pryda/ITW’s timber engineering offer in New South Wales.


The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • The delivery of proactive and reactive timber engineering solutions to fabricators and their builders
  • The delivery of engineering training material across all stakeholder groups within the fabrication and builder segment of the industry
  • Active involvement in the rollout of new solutions (software, hardware and systems)

The profile of the successful candidate is:

  • Qualified Structural Engineer – Bachelor of Engineering
  • CPEng qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in the creation and delivery of engineering services to the industry, ideally including onsite rectification works.
  • Strong technical skills and an understanding of the construction industry
  • Passion for sharing knowledge via the creation and delivery of engineering training programs
  • Customer focused & skilled at connecting teams to customer value & alignment with business strategy
  • Demonstrated passion for self- development and a drive to succeed.
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills combined with the ability to make sensible and timely decisions
  • Strong and influential communication style in both written and presentation skillsets
  • Ability to build strong relationships, at various levels, both internally and externally
  • Self-motivated, energetic & can work both autonomously & as part of the team
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a changing environment, demonstrating a strong consultative approach and manner
  • Above average computer skills including the Microsoft Office 365 suite of products

Highly desirable

  • Timber Design Experience.
