Performs, tracks and assists Maintenance Supervisor to oversee all general and preventive maintenance of production equipment, facility maintenance, and safety responsibilities in an industrial manufacturing plant.

The position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.


●  Performs scheduled preventative and general maintenance on all manufacturing systems including hydraulic presses, metal forming equipment, and various support equipment.

●  Repairs or replaces all defective components.

●  Performs system modification, assembly and fabrication as required.

●  Performs facility maintenance when necessary.

●  Provides feedback to Facility manager and Supervisor relating to maintenance issues, the team’s performance, and company related issues.

●  Shares knowledge with and assists in coordinating, delegating and overseeing daily general and preventive maintenance training of maintenance technicians.

●  Maintains and supports a safe working environment and audits, improves, and develops maintenance and facility safety programs.

●  Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Job Requirements

●  Minimum of AS degree or equivalent training program completion is highly desired for this position.

●  Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 3 Industrial/Electrical Maintenance experience.

●  Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 2 years PLC Ladder Logic Programming experience.

●  Good computer skills

●  Must have good verbal, written and organizational skills; quick to learn and apply new concepts.

●  Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, stoop, squat, reach, crouch and kneel, stand for long periods of time, work in unprotected weather elements, wear hard-toed shoes and other required personal protective equipment.


●  Competent in PLC ladder logic programming. Ability to build ladder logic programs from idea conception to fully working production model.

●  Ability to troubleshoot electrical controls/systems related to motors and motor controls, VFD’s, PLC’s, sensor and switch circuitry, and other types of equipment control circuits.

●   Working knowledge and understanding of three-phase 240/480 electricity and circuitry.

●  Ability to comprehend and explain complex industrial electronic controls, electrical schematics, ladder logic, electrical drawings and blue prints.

●  Ability to perform mechanical maintenance related to repairing heavy industrial equipment, replacing motors/drives and maintaining PM’s on all major equipment.

●  Familiar with operations and repairs related to hydraulic systems including maintaining and PM on hyd. pumps, cylinders, and associated piping system.

●  Familiar with operations and repairs related to pneumatic systems including maintaining and PM on air compressors and pneumatic system.

●  Must be self-motivated and self -directed--able to work independently with a 'production first' attitude.

●  Demonstrates orientation toward excellent customer service by conducting daily activities, communications and interactions in a cooperative, positive and professional manner.
