Job Description

Operates machine to sort product meeting customer requirements. Ensures product is free of mixtures and defects by performing the following duties

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

Starts machine and performs daily checks to detect malfunctions of machine. Reports malfunction to supervisor.

 

Performs daily preventive maintenance and simple setups to ensure good operation of machines.

 

Prints labels and affixes to containers to ensure good lot control.

 

Prepares product to ship free of mixtures and product defects. Figures weight per container using simple math.

 

Maintains a safe, clean and organized work environment at all times.

 

Performance to comply with all company Procedures, Policies, Work Instructions, knowledge of internal and external requirements as well as TS16949, ISO 17025 and OSHAS 18001 requirements.

 

Assist in making improvements to the overall business using ITW operating principles.

Required Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

 

High school education or GED:  Manufacturing experience or training a plus.

 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

 

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the
organization.

 

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Forklift Certification Required
