Job Description

Alpine is seeking a Software Development Intern to join our team.  In this role, you will help develop and standardize our licensing mechanism for software products and features into a web-based portal that can be administered from a central location to manage access for all Alpine users.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Understand our current licensing mechanism used by IntelliView and develop a plan to structure/implement a new web-based system
  • Build a consolidate list of features that are currently controlled by either license key or registry key with a plan to migrate to the new system
  • Implementation of new licensing mechanism in IntelliView to replace current CryptKey licensing and registry key usage
  • Develop training to educate stakeholders on new licensing mechanism and plan to leverage going forward for feature licensing.

Expected Learnings:

  • High-level product capabilities of the IntelliView software
  • Feature-based development and targeted rollout using new licensing module
  • Agile development process and Scrum framework
  • Product Line Rationalization

Job Requirements:

  • Rising Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Information Technology related field.
  • Proficient in one or more programming languages such as C++, C#, or Java

Work Environment:
Most time will be spent in an office environment.   Occasionally the employee may be required to spend time in manufacturing facilities.

Physical Demands:

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral visions, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.  The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to finger, handle or feel.
