Job Description

Summary:

The Shipping Coordinator is primarily responsible to ensure effective operation of shipping function by planning, organizing, picking, staging and shipping customer orders.


Duties and Responsibilities:


• Invoice shipments accurately according to quantities and weights of each item included on AR’s presented

• Verify Accuracy of address and freight line information on product to be shipped

• Contact trucking companies and communicate all required information, including weight, time/location of pick-up and delivery. Set up expedites if necessary.

• Send ASN’s after shipments are picked up, but before the end of the day.

• File bills in appropriate area

• Create customer paperwork or commercial invoices for all international shipments

• Prepare UPS, Federal Express, DHL shipments.

• Complete short bill of lading for all shipments not invoices from AR’s

• Create labels for outgoing freight

• Reactivate, reflag, and correct bills of lading

• Load and unload freight when required

• Run ASN report at end of day

• Verify accuracy of CUM’s between ITW and Customers as needed

• Promote safety by abiding to all related policies and procedures of ITW Seat Components

• Follows all procedures as outlined by ISO 9001, OSHA and IATF 16949.

• Any and All Tasks as Assigned

Job Requirements

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required 

• Experience in manufacturing a plus 

• Team player with good attitude and strong work ethic 

• Must show ability to take and give direction in a fast-paced environment

• Solid organizational, planning, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills

• Solid computer knowledge, numerical accuracy and attention to detail

• Strong verbal and solid written communication skills

• Maintain forklift certifications as required
