About the opportunity:
  • You will be adjusting, aligning, assembling, calibrating, inspecting, lubrication, and testing of Hobart equipment
  • You will conduct problem diagnosis including electrical/mechanical and electronics troubleshooting
  • You must be able to be innovative and use common sense to remedy a situation so the customer may resume operations
  • You will maintain frequent contact with the office to receive service assignments and review service problems with advisor, supervisor, or manager
  • You must consistently achieve or surpass productivity and service labor revenue goals assigned by management
  • You must maintain working knowledge of latest modifications, retrofit, etc. for equipment assigned to service
  • You must maintain a working knowledge or parts stocking and identification methods, practices and procedures
  • You will assist others on equipment installations or in performing major repair assignments
  • You will be responsible for inventory and a professional appearance of service vehicle
  • You must satisfactorily complete factory schools and audio/visual field training as required
  • You will work overtime as required, including on call
  • You will assist in obtaining long life maintenance contracts
  • You must comply with all service policies and procedures of Hobart Service
  • You must maintain personal image to meet or exceed company standards
What you’ll bring to the table:
  • You must have an accredited High School Diploma or GED
  • You must have 0-2 years of similar electrical/mechanical experience
  • You must have a valid Driver’s License and ability to drive multiple hours daily
  • You should be able to work Overtime and On-Call as required
  • You must be able to attend our industry leading training at our corporate headquarters in Troy, OH
Physical Requirements:
  • Lifting 50-75 lbs. with or without assistance
  • Climbing up to 8 ft. with ladder
  • Occasional roof access may be necessary
  • Extensive walking up to 3-5 miles/day
  • Extensive driving up to 5-6 hours/day
  • Kneeling, squatting, bending, pushing/pulling
  • Exposure to noise, heat, cold, slippery, wet, dirty conditions
