Job Description


Responsible for providing excellent customer service on troubleshooting welding systems and administering the warranty for Industrial Equipment Division.


  • Handling phone calls on a repetitive basis relating to the service, repair, and application of Industrial Equipment product.
  • Creating service files in the service warranty application software to accurately document warranty situations.
  • Repair and test returned equipment from the field.
  • Travel to customer locations for technical support/training of IE product.
  • Participate on product development teams and product support projects.
  • Assist product engineering in evaluation of returned equipment to continually improve reliability and warranty.
  • Travel will be required in this position.
  • Utilization of good oral and written communication skills to work professionally with customers within the guidelines of the Industrial Equipment Group and Miller warranty policies is essential.


  • Associate Degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology, Automated Manufacturing Systems Technology or in the final stages of completion of stated degrees.
  • Completed certificate credits in Automation Maintenance, Industrial Controls/PLC’s or Industrial Networking Communications is a plus.
  • Experience in industrial automation/networking.
  • Strength in customer service with demonstrated troubleshooting skills preferred.
  • Welding systems product knowledge is a plus.
  • Good computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Internet programs.
  • Candidate must be willing to travel when necessary; at times this could be short notice. *Must be a self-starter, aggressive, and a good team player and possess the ability to make independent decisions and follow through to completion.
