Summary
 
Instron is looking for an enthusiastic developer to join the service software group to create an industry leading customer experience. This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining integrated solutions that simplify business processes. This team member will play a role in software design, architecture, requirements analysis, investigation of new technologies, and software development of IoT solutions.  This position will include working with different teams and require good interpersonal skills.
 
Requirements
 
Successful candidate will have a Computer Science or Engineering degree or equivalent work experience. The position is based in our headquarters in Norwood, MA and includes minimal travel (less than 10%).
 
Additional requirements include:
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
  • Experience with software design and test-drive environment
  • Knowledge of coding languages such as C#, JavaScript, C++ and frameworks such as TFS or Git
  • Working knowledge of database design, SQL Server, and T-SQL
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude
  • Strong sense of project ownership and personal responsibility
  • Experience with IoT solutions is a plus
