Basic Description:

Responsible for providing excellent customer service and answer technical calls for all Welding Accessories & Consumables products (Gas Equipment, Service Parts & Consumables, Helmets & Safety Products, Filtair, Live Arc and Augmented Arc). Responsibilites include administering warranty, creating service files and working with staff to evaluate returned parts to help improve warranty.

Position can be located in either Appleton, WI or Watertown, SD.

Essential Functions:

A successful candidate will become knowledgable with the Miller Welding Accessories product lines noted above. They will become efficient in looking up and locating part number requests for all Miller Electric servicable products past and present throughout their product lifecycle that come in via telephone and e-mail. Handle high volume phone calls on a repetitive basis related to service parts and association to the products. Use time management skills to work on tasks & projects in-between customer support. Provide timely and constructive feedback to the appropriate Miller person(s) regarding quality and warranty issues relating to any of our Service Parts and Division products.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Candidate must be a team player with a positive attitude, high motivation and excellent interpersonal and strong communication skills; both in person and on the phone.

• Ability to make quick customer oriented decisions in a fast paced environment.

• A demonstrated ability to work effectively with many different personalities and situations.

• Customer service & support experience

• Associate Degree or enrolled in post-secondary education

• Excellent verbal communication skills and enjoy verbal interaction with others.

• Experience and willingness to learn diverse Miller computer operating systems, such as the Service Warranty App, Aplus, Intranet, Omnify, Extranet and Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) .

• Willingness to learn product features and weld precess knowledge for existing and new products is required.

• Desire to continue to grow professionally through experiences, exposure and focused training.

IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Basic mechanical apptitude & demonstrated troubleshooting skills

• 3 - 5 Years of customer facing experience
