Senior Software Engineer - Team Lead – Norwood, MA

We have an opportunity for a highly motivated professional whose work will reflect Instron’s commitment to total customer satisfaction. This position is primarily responsible for the leading a team of software engineers in the development, maintenance, and technical support of Instron software products using strong software development techniques.  The level of work is moderately complex.  This employee receives daily or weekly direction from the Calibration Manager.
The Senior Software Engineer - Team Lead collaborates with the Calibration Lab Manager in maintaining appropriate development tools and processes to ensure efficient use of resources within the specified discipline. The Senior Software Engineer - Team Lead will also develop strategies to meet the company's growth and profitability goals. In addition, this employee will provide direction for the development, implementation and release of new calibration related service products ensuring adherence to the quality of technical requirements of ISO 17025.
Successful applicants will have a BS in Computer Science or Engineering or 5-8 years of experience in software development. Applicants will also have 3-5 years of small group leadership and project management experience.
