     JOB DESCRIPTION

Title: Senior Order Management Representative

Summary:

The Senior Order Management Representative has the responsibility for managing customer order activity through the order fulfillment cycle. Responds to customer inquiries by researching status for shipments, past dues and expedites. The position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, and requires independent analysis, decision-making skills and using prior experiences and knowledge of company policies and procedures to resolve non-standard problems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform the duties of Order Management Specialist
  • Mentor and support co-worker’s through problem solving and business decisions processes.
  • Understand and manage all company policies and procedures regarding product pricing, inventory, shipping, order processing, returns, refunds, customer satisfaction and promotions.
  • Responsible for accuracy of pricing on all purchase orders and/or customer communications.
  • Oversees communications related to item availability, distributor information, basic technical information, packaging, order status and other questions from order entry to delivery.
  • Partner with Supply Chain to proactively reduce deductions and reduce order handling complexity.
  • Partner with Sales Team members to resolve complex customer requirements/challenges.
  • Responsible for reviewing daily reports and taking appropriate action.
  • Cultivates a professional, positive working relationship with both customers and field sales.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of customer service experience
  • Consumer Packaged Goods company experience is a plus

  • Time management, organizational, and prioritization skills
  • Sound judgment and problem solving skills with keen attention to details
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced team environment with rapidly changing priorities
  • Ability to adjust quickly to new processes and procedures
  • Proficient computer skills - MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • MRP/ERP experience; JD Edwards is a plus
  • Experience working in a warehouse, manufacturing plant, or other supply chain function a plus
