Hobart Weigh/Wrap is part of the ITW Food Equipment Group. We are seeking a highly motivated, creative and innovative Mechanical Engineer. In this role you will, conceive, design, develop, and support Next Generation products. You will be able to formulate the necessary analysis and perform the calculations to evaluate and recommend the optimum solution.  The selected candidate will be able to determine suitable technologies and integrate appropriate manufacturing practices into delivering an acceptable solution for meeting assigned goals and objectives. This position will be based in Troy, Ohio.

Job Requirements

• Bachelors of Science Mechanical Engineering (4 year degree)

• 3D part and assembly modeling, design of mechanisms (5 years)

• SolidWorks Mechanical Design and PDM Tools (2 years)

• Proven ability to estimate tasks assigned and meet project schedules (3 years)

• Complex structure modeling and design with stack up analysis and DFM principles for

• DFA/DFM and production machine and tool design (3 years)

• Finite Element analysis, testing, and modeling (3 year)

• Part design and material evaluation applicability to new designs (3 year)

• FMEA, Pareto Principle, and Value Analysis/Value Engineering practice in design work (1 year)

• Proven ability to estimate project tasks and meet project schedules (3 years)

• Rapid prototyping with 3D printing prototype (1 year)

• Product Lifecycle Management Exposure (EOL, Change Management, Quality System, PLS, BOM, Sourcing, VA/VE) (2 years)

• BoM creation and management (2 years)

• Mechatronics and electromechanical designs (3 years)
