Job Description

ITW Specialty Films designs, manufactures and markets specialized coated and/or metalized films for the Card, Security, and Medical markets.  The division leverages unique core competencies and technologies in films, foils, laminates, holography and transfers to address customer needs globally.  Operates in 5 locations (NA & EU).

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior IT Systems Analyst role will consult with key decision makers to analyze current and future information system needs.  Has demonstrated maturity, relationship building skills and business savvy and understands business strategy and distinguishes among priorities. Can plan, direct, and coordinate the design, installation, and connectivity of computer systems, software applications and network infrastructure to ensure the stable operation of the organization’s IT assets and achievement of business goals. This includes developing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all new and existing network hardware, business software applications, and communication links. This role is also responsible for telephone, data center, security systems and other electronic infrastructure.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct research and make recommendations on ERP solutions, network and software products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network and software procurement and development efforts.

  • Prepare RFPs, bid proposals, contracts, scope of work reports, and other documentation for IT projects and associated efforts.

  • Capable of leading an ERP transformation. Coordinates and manages the activities of consulting partners, internal staff and business partners in the execution of system implementation.

  • Manages a diverse set of suppliers including product vendors, 3rd party outsourced service providers and consultants.

  • Ensures IT projects are completed on time, within budget and meet agreed upon performance requirements.

  • Assess, approve, and administer all equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.

  • Plan, acquire, and coordinate installation of in-house and remote hardware and software across the organization’s network.

  • Design and implement short- and long-term strategic plans to make certain network capacity meets existing and future requirements.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network and PC resource administration and appropriate use.

  • Manage and ensure effectiveness of security solutions, including firewalls, anti-virus solutions, and intrusion detection systems.

  • Practice network and PC asset management, including maintenance of component inventory, life cycle management and related documentation.

  • Establish service level agreements with vendors.

  • Negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services.

  • Manage and ensure optimal operation of all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, hubs, UPSs, and so on.

  • Test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining network infrastructure.

  • Test server performance and provide network performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining server infrastructure.

  • Oversee the administration of user accounts, permissions, and access rights in AD.

Job Requirements

POSITION SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree.  Minimum of 5 years of experience managing and configuring enterprise-wide LANs, WANs, WLANs, VPNs, etc.

  • Experience evaluating ERP software applications relative to their capabilities to address business objectives and functional needs of the Division.

  • Demonstrated experience in successfully implementing a multifunctional ERP solution in a manufacturing business.

  • Exceptional project management skills demonstrated through successful execution of project goals, i.e. budget, timeline, etc.

  • Consistent focus on streamlining and simplification demonstrated through process improvement.

  • Experience with system implementations; including, software investigation, selection, planning, parallel testing, implementation and post system management.

  • Demonstrated change management skills through effective communications and training.

  • Exceptional knowledge of service and application delivery, as well as successful service level agreement accomplishments.

  • Excellent knowledge of current protocols and standards, including Active Directory, Group Policies, Core Switching/Routing, SSL/IPSec, SAN, Virtualization, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery.

  • Experience in interpreting the applicability of local and federal laws/regulations (including data privacy practices and laws) to company operations.

  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware such as servers, routers, bridges, switches, hubs, modems, network interface cards, etc.

  • Experience with moving infrastructure to the cloud where deemed appropriate.

  • Experience planning and merging several networks into one.

  • Knowledge and understanding of system flow charts, data processing concepts, and telecommunications principles.

  • Experience installing network cabling and telephone systems.
