About this Position

We are seeking a Sales Representative to join the Residential business. Reporting to the Area Sales Manager, this role is responsible for maximising sustainable growth, sales and profitability of Paslode, Pryda and Stockade with accounts in nominated territory, by fully understanding the value propositions while developing and maintaining effective commercial relationships & account plans with internal & external stakeholders. This role will be based  in Waikato/Bay of Plenty region.

Key responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strong and effective relationships throughout all levels of a customer’s business. As well as:

  • Building and maintaining product and market knowledge e.g. value proposition, product range, competitors, market share and product innovation opportunities
  • Developing targeted customer account plans that optimise growth and delivery of sales targets
  • Understanding the value of the offer from the perspective of the customer and leverages it as a collective solution.
  • Developing and managing efficient call cycles that ensure appropriate levels of service for Key customers.
  • Identifying & building relationships with key end users in territory through working closely with our major accounts and facilitating end user conversions through cold calling, trade events and by making in-field joint sales calls with the objective of defending and growing our market share
  • Monitoring, analysing and providing insights into account performance.

Job Requirements

About You:

To be successful in this role you will have an understanding of the manufacturing sales environment and be:

  • Proven experience in sales, hardware industry highly regarded.
  • Comfortable building and maintaining strong internal and external customer relationships
  • Experienced in developing & implementing account plans and ability to articulate successful outcomes delivered in a timely manner.
  • Flexible in relation to hours and location of work duties- i.e. maybe required to travel interstate or to remote locations

  • Shows energy, initiative & drive for results
  • Excellent oral and written communication including presentation skills
