ITW Air Flow Management produces interior components. Our Intent is to defend our North America market leader position in Pressure Relief Valves for noise attenuation while driving to become a leader in Air Registers; delivering differentiated value to NA Automotive OEM’s addressing industry trends of autonomous driving, display integration, and customized environments.

Position Summary:


The Sales Manager will report to the Director of Sales & Engineering and will be responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in assigned FCA (Fiat Chrysler America) and Europe (BMW, Volkswagen, Daimler) OEM market(s).    


Responsibilities:

  • Along with the Director of Sales & Engineering, establishes the direction, performance goals, plan and vision to align the resources of the OEM sales team to ensure growth and penetration with current '80' customer focus.
  • Leverage local market knowledge to focus on growing products in addition to introducing new applying an 'outside - in' customer backed innovation mindset.
  • Nurtures customer relationships that provide insight and a landscape where ITW has a competitive advantage.
  • Carry out comprehensive market research aligned with the strategic growth priorities, to understand the market niche and growth opportunities through the full business development cycle.
  • Maintains a continuing analysis of reports such as sales reports, sales expenses, new and lost business, etc., for the purpose of detecting undesirable trends at an early stage in order to take prompt remedial action for specific OEM.
  • Maintains a continuing analysis of project performance within scope of responsibility and actively contributes to remedial action (VA/VE idea generation, etc.).
  • Collaborate with EOEM Global Key Account Managers (GKAMS) where applicable to ensure strategy and resources are focused and executing efficiently.
  • Functions as an individual contributor to the Account Management staff on an as needed basis.
  • Champions the ITW Leadership Development framework, developing talent within the business.
  • Identifies and develops key leaders for future roles.
  • Nurtures an environment consistent with the ITW values and culture.
  • Develop and maintain budgets for OEM team.

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or University; Master’s Degree a plus

  • At least 5 years’ automotive sales experience

  • At least 5 years proven track record of successful sales growth and negotiations.

  • Ability to develop budgets and sales forecast to business plans (Annual and Long Range Plans) and demonstrate accuracy.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with ability and willingness to communicate, and work with other regions.

  • Willing to travel; primarily domestic and occasionally international.
  • Willingness to relocate for future growth and/or advancement opportunities.
