This includes our Specialty Engine & Filtration Business Unit, which totals $25M in revenue and specializes in water filtration and outdoor power equipment. Key products include drinking water filters, fuel filters and tank caps.

Position Summary: The Sales Manager will be responsible to deliver on long range plan growth targets associated to the divisional strategy, build intimacy with key customer stake holders, identify opportunities for differentiated innovation projects, partner with engineering and operational teams to provide value added solutions to problems that really matter to our customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Execution of the sales strategy
  • Build on key customer intimacy to establish better opportunities to solve problems and understand our customer needs
  • Lead customer commercial communications and negotiations. Manage escalation situations if they occur.
  • Manage internal costing models in line with ITW financial expectations
  • Provide detailed customer costing models with understanding and explanation around the rationale
  • Involvement in team for APQP Launch activities
  • Communicate frequently with customers; visit active and potential customers as required.
  • Relay customer PPAP requirements to the Quality Department according to IATF 16949 procedures.
  • Conduct product P.O. review
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering required
  • Sales background, preferably selling to automotive.
  • Knowledge of injection molding
  • Ability to communicate, negotiate, and to close a deal.
  • Ability to effectively resolve complex problems among internal departments, customers, and representatives.
  • Strong technical skills with proficiency in MS Office programs, with an emphasis on Excel. QAD experience a plus.
  • Some travel required.
