The Challenge:


To support the development of profitable business relationships with the 80 accounts in the territory.

Develop incremental sales through proactive end user engagement in partnership with the account base.

Develop true value added partnerships with the 80 accounts cementing ITW’s place as a built in supplier.

Position the ITW product portfolio to win within the marketplace via these accounts.

Beyond market growth with 80 accounts through strategic key account management and differentiated service.

Position Summary:


This individual will work closely with the key stakeholders within the accounts but also internally within our business, to aid the development of sales and market/brand position. The Sales Executive will work closely with management to ensure that activities, and business practices reflect and complement our 80/20 front to back business strategy. They will be aligned to work with the Area Sales Manager in Scotland who will be offering their guidance and support across this area.


Primary responsibilities:


  • To deliver on agreed company target revenue and gross profit and to ensure that this sector grows at a speed which is beyond standard market growth.
  • Working with the Area Sales Manager in Scotland, delivering the strategy set out by the ASM across the region.
  • To own grow and nurture effective relationships with all relevant key stakeholders within the nominated accounts.
  • Act as a conduit for our business to interact at every level with these accounts to ensure that we are a built-in supplier.
  • To pro-actively seek market opportunities and lead the accounts towards these through market intelligence and data.
  • Pro-actively manage the product range and availability within the estate of these accounts.
  • Take ownership of your own training and personal development needs.
  • For ensuring the health and safety of yourself and others in your work environment
  • Ensure company and sector policies and procedures are being followed
  • To always embody the ITW core principles of Integrity, Simplicity, Trust, Respect, Shared Risk,



  • Achieve sales growth and gross profit targets through nominated accounts, aided by the Area Sales Manager covering the Scotland region.
  • Arrange and/or attend specific company networking events and/or trade shows which will include evenings and weekends from time to time.
  • Attend any specific training identified for growth and development.
  • Report any incidents, accidents or near misses and any other Health and Safety issue that may be relevant in yours or the work environment.
  • Attend quarterly sales meetings and others when required

Job Requirements

Experience and skills:

  • A good standard of education
  • Experience of sales 
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office suite of products.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
  • Flexibility to travel nationally
  • A full driving Licence
