Division Description:

ITW EU Regional Accounts serves the Automotive Equipment Manufacturers and their tier suppliers with plastic fasteners totaling approximately $210M in revenues.  Units include:  Beauchamp and Ingwiller, FR; Hone, IT; Basingstoke, UK and Bredaryn, SE.               
The division drives profitability by leveraging its innovative solutions and application engineering.  In addition to ITW’s industry leading research and development capabilities, ITW EU Regional Accounts enhance our customers’ competitive advantage by:
·        maintaining advanced engineering and manufacturing facilities in EU. 
·        Exchanging product, process and benchmarking information with sister units worldwide. 
·        Continually improving processes, material and designs to ensure every product exceeds customer specifications while providing unparalleled value.


Position Summary:

The Sales and Engineering Director establishes the direction, performance goals and tactical plan for our division. He/She reinforces intimacy with our 80 OEMs and Tiers to provide them with Plastic Fastener differentiated solutions to be their preferred suppliers in order to deliver profitable growth.



Responsibilities:

·          Work closely with senior leadership and operations; leverage local market knowledge to focus on growing core products and introduce new ones applying an “outside in" discipline with meaningful $/Car, value proposition and a sustainable differentiation. 

·          Lead and inspire the Sales team to excel and exceed the division commercial, operational and financial goals. 
·          Develop team members and accelerate the development of early in career high potential functional talent 
·          Support new product development and modifications with engineering and technical support for design, process and validation functions; encourage patent applications. 
·          Nurture customer relationships that provide insight and a landscape where ITW has a competitive advantage through our “cradle to grave" relationships 
·          Develop pricing policies and direct major negotiations as needed. 
·          Direct strategic planning (5-year Long Range Plan), including comprehensive market research and competitive analysis to understand the market niche, product development and penetration opportunities for ITW. 
·          Continue analysis of reports such as sales monthly reports, new and lost opportunities, etc., for the purpose of detecting undesirable trends at an early stage in order to take prompt remedial action 
·          Strengthen relationships and maximize synergies with other ITW Global Automotive units ·          Nurture an environment consistent with the ITW values and culture

Job Requirements

Position Skills and Experience:

 ·          5-year Engineering degree; Master’s preferred 

·          10 years’ experience min., 5 must be in Sales management; experience in Automotive is desirable 
·          Personally driven and invested in team members 
·         
Solid financial skills including working knowledge of budgeting, sales, and business development ·          Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with experience in communicating and working with a remote region 
·          Willingness to travel 30%, mainly in EU
