Job Description

Hobart Service is looking for a Region Operations Manager in the Mid-Atlantic Market Area to join their team. This position will be based in Philadelphia or Baltimore reporting directly to the Region Director.


Reporting to the Region Director, responsible for driving the overall performance of the assigned Market Areas in response to customer needs thereby ensuring their satisfaction with installed FEG products and promoting future products and services.  Responsible for direct management of the assigned Market Area. Extensive involvement with the Foodservice and Food Retail selling organizations to promote the sale of FEG products. 
Develop and maintain close customer relationships to promote service and equipment sales. Accountable for customer level agreements, revenue growth, profitability and expense targets along with return on management investment objectives.   Strategic focus on economies of scale, growth, consistency. Drive a culture of Safety and Wellness within assigned Market Area, ensuring proactive safe practices.

  • Lead entire Market Area team ensuring effective hiring, training, retention and development. Create a sustainable organization through effective talent development.
  • Maximize all assigned Targets and Key Drivers for assigned geographic market and ROI.
  • Work with BM/DM to ensure all inventory standards are adhered to and determine facility requirements for market area and make recommendations as required.
  • Develop annual budget and operating plan for Market Area, responsible for P&L.
  • Executes policies and procedures, as applicable, relative to managing service parts inventory and all other assets in the assigned Market Area.
  • Foster solid relationships with key customers including end service customers and dealers to ensure their satisfaction with service and installed Food Equipment Group products. Create strategies/procedures to deal with local premier customers within the Market Area.
  • Promote future products and service-maintaining and expanding within the market.
  • Build working relationships with Food Service, Installation and Food Retail sales representatives (internal and external) to ensure the total customer needs are being met. Assist sales and installation teams in managing and growing assigned accounts.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or prior Hobart Service Branch Management experience
  • Direct Experience effectively managing customer relations.
  • Leadership experience, direct staff management of other leaders and front line employees
  • Demonstrated successful project management skills.
  • Strong communication skills verbal and written
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years demonstrated proficiency as an Operations Manager.
  • Experience managing a P&L.
  • Service product knowledge
  • Working knowledge of Branch operating systems
  • Technical experience
  • Customer Relations Management /Sales experience
  • Willingness to relocate if opportunity arises

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:
  • Office and field environment
  • Up to 50% travel (does include overnight travel)
  • May be exposed to noise, heat, cold, slippery, wet conditions
  • May be required to climb a ladder
  • May be required to lift 50-75 lbs with or without assistance
  • May be required to sit/stand/walk for extended periods of time
  • Driving company vehicles for extended periods of time
