Job Description

Position:        R&D Chemist

Department:   Research & Development

Reports To:     Technology Manager

Summary and Primary Responsibilities:

The R&D Scientist will be responsible for conducting research and development that is necessary to drive new product development and maximizing throughput of product development projects that focus on providing specialized, innovative & sustainable cleaning, disinfection, deodorants & surface protection technologies into the commercial aviation & transportation markets.  This support will also include core product line extensions, and enhancements as directed and prioritized by the Technology Manager. 

The R&D Scientist will also be responsible for production support, training of support personnel, and technical service support for Celeste’s diverse customer base. In addition, the R&D Scientist will provide quality assurance testing and develop test methods in accordance with cGLP, cGMP, and any regulatory entities associated with the Celeste product line.

Job Requirements

Core Skills/Education/Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, and/or related field of Science required.

Previous experience in a product development environment in specialty chemicals with an emphasis in cleaning formulations preferred. Knowledge and experience with analytical testing (HPLC), instrumental analysis, ISO, EPA, FDA, cGLP and cGMP regulations is desirable. Candidate must be familiar with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
