ITW is a Fortune 200 diversified manufacturing company with eight decentralized business segments, which includes Food Equipment.  The Warewash Business Division, one of the groups in the Food Equipment Group, is seeking a First Shift Quality Tester for its Manufacturing Facility in Troy, Ohio. 

The Warewash Division (Flow Warewashing) wants to expand its presence in existing served markets as well as new markets and has openings in skilled trades to support this growth.  The Warewash Business Division produces Hobart brand commercial dishwashers used in hotels, casinos, restaurants, health care, cruise ships, schools and universities and retail.  We are in search of a First Shift Quality Tester to support production of our commercial dishwasher to achieve business unit goals and objectives.

This position reports to the Production Supervisor. Successful candidates will be able to safely perform specified testing procedures and processes for our commercial food equipment. Testing procedures include electrical and mechanical; diagnosing and troubleshooting; making adjustments and corrections and conducting quality checks while on second shift. Candidates must be able to work independently and within a team environment; work scheduled overtime including weekends, and lead in supporting the Quality Management System.

Job Requirements


Minimum Qualifications:  

  • A high school diploma or equivalent general education degree (GED) with formal electrical or mechanical training or a minimum of one to three years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, work from customer orders, and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to utilize measuring devices such as hi-pot tester, continuity tester, and power analyzers to test and check electrical circuits ground wattage and leakage.
  • Ability to maintain records of test results and data location.
  • Must have basic computer skills to create and maintain spreadsheets, quality logs, etc.
  • May perform other duties to assist in the flow of production.
  • Observe safety, housekeeping, recordkeeping and quality management system procedures.
