Job Description

Educational/Skill Guidelines:  A four-year degree in Business/Technology or related field with combined experience in an applicable discipline is preferred.  A vocational school degree with combined experience is acceptable.


Five to seven years of Quality Management Experience required. Utilization of ISO/TS/IATF Process Approach. APQP working knowledge. Developing Procedures & Work Instructions. Demonstrated ability to build relationships with a diverse workforce. Strong interpersonal and written and oral communication skills. Excellent organization and coordination skills. 3 – 5 years Calibration experience.


Minimum 5 years ISO/TS/IATF Experience. Knowledge of Automotive core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA and SPC). Must be very proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to use standard office equipment such as computer terminals, faxes, copiers and calculators. Excellent attention to detail. Must be accurate and able to check and verify information.


  • Advanced Degree Preferred (Engineering or Business)
  • ASQ Certification Preferred
  • Six Sigma Black Belt Preferred (Green Belt Required)




The position of Quality Manager executes and maintains the Quality Management System.  Ensure the QMS/EMS conforms to customer, internal, ISO/TS/IATF and regulatory/legal requirements.  Support Advanced Quality Planning activities.  Assist plant in using statistical techniques to analyze and prioritize plant quality improvements.   Provide work directions and training for quality staff.  Develop programs and procedures in order to meet our customer satisfaction and requirements.  Participate in continuous improvement activities which will help the company meet all set objectives and goals.  Interface with customers, suppliers and internal personnel to provide root cause analysis and resolve quality related issues.  Provide support to Sales & Engineering, Production Managers, and Plant Manager.  Visit customer and supplier plants as necessary. Provide support to sister plants in Europe/Asia. Thrive in a lean environment.


  • AIAG level PPAP Documentation. (Including MSA)
  • Internal & External QMS/EMS audits
  • IATF16949, ISO14001 Certification and Compliance
  • Follow-up activities on Non – Conforming items.
  • Supplier Development oversight
  • Departmental monthly report collection and preparation
  • Training / Monitoring of plant personnel
  • Departmental goals and objectives
  • Calibration system and equipment.
  • Product performance testing
  • Responsible for carrying out special quality related projects as directed by the Plant Manager.
  • Maintain quality files and retention records
  • Maintain 5S level in the Quality Office
  • Plant Layered Process Audits (Coordinator)
  • Maintain good housekeeping standards.
  • Follow all rules, regulations and work processes set forth by the company.
  • Maintain a safe working environment.
  • Other duties as deemed necessary to meet the needs of the business.
