Simco-Ion has an exciting Quality Manager opportunity in its Hatfield, PA location, reporting to the Operations Manager. The Quality Manager is responsible for Simco-Ion, Industrial and Technology business units, establishing, implementing, and directing quality control efforts to ensure that requirements for processing components and other materials into finished goods and products conform to customer quality standards. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work with management team to establish, track and report quality objectives complementary to ITW policies and goals (generate monthly Quality reports, maintain Quality Manual and Procedures)
  • Work directly with plant operations, including manufacturing, to administer Simco-Ion’s Quality Management System (Internal Audits, ISO 9001 Audits, Customer Feedback)
  • Initiate Corrective Actions to address deficiencies, non-conformances and customer complaints
  • Manage the Customer Return process; RMA’s, quotations, repairs, customer calibrations, restocks and credits
  • Work with input from engineering groups to prepare customer Failure Analysis reports
  • Maintain internal process controls; 1st piece inspection, Material Certifications, Non-Conforming Materials, Deviation Notices, and ECN Acknowledgements
  • Manage Equipment Calibration System (Simco-Ion owned equipment)
  • Host approval agency factory audits:  UL; ETL; CSA; TUV
  • Maintain a working knowledge of industry quality standards and safety codes (ie: ISO certification, OSHA)
  • Manager of 2 direct reports – Quality Technician/Repairs and Quality/Safety Specialist
  • Implement universal Simco-Ion problem solving methodology to include training and process (ie. 8D, 5 Whys, Kepler Trego, etc.)

Requirements
 
  • Engineering degree, BS w/ minimum 7 years’ experience
  • Working knowledge of government and industry quality codes and standards

Technical background; Microsoft Office; experience w/ Infor XA a plus; experience w/cloud-based applications (Frontlines RMA)
