Quality Engineer – Troy, OH



Illinois Tool Works (ITW) is a Fortune 200 company that produces diversified products in global markets. Some of its products include welding equipment, automotive components, construction materials and commercial food equipment. The Food Equipment Group is one of seven ITW decentralized business segments. This position is in the Hobart Warewash Division at its Troy, Ohio facility, located 20 minutes north of the Dayton metropolitan area.


The Warewash Business Division produces Hobart brand commercial dishwashers that are used in hotels, casinos, restaurants, cruise ships, schools, universities and retail establishments. We are the industry leader and are seeking to expand our growth in existing served markets as well as new markets.


Summary of What you will do:


As the Quality Engineer you will provide detailed quality planning for new product development projects to assure conformance of engineering and marketing specifications and quality management system. This position supports product development initiatives while maintaining business unit goals and objectives. You will recommend improvements in designs, processes, and procedures to assure quality from development to production. Your responsibilities will include agency compliance, FMEA’s, DVP&R and Root cause analysis investigations.

Job Requirements

What we are looking for:


● Quality control experience in a product development environment and agency compliance experience.


● Product development experience working in manufacturing with emphasis in fabrication and working with suppliers on product requirements.


● Root cause analysis and problem-solving skills


● Ability to execute projects within specified timelines


● Knowledge of product quality improvement processes


● An individual to support the Quality Management System, and is detailed oriented



Education and Experience:



● BS Degree in Quality, Engineering or Operations Management


● 3-5 years of quality engineering experience


● Requires effective written, verbal and presentation skills


● MS Office application proficiency


● Excel proficiency in data analysis
