Quality Assurance System

  • Assist Quality Manager in driving the execution and completion of the 8D process. Creates standard procedures, work instructions and validation plans as required.
  • Manage overall supplier quality program driving best practices throughout the supply base; work with suppliers to ensure root cause analysis is performed and corrective action plans are completed.
  • Review and study existing equipment, systems and processes to improve efficiency, increase quality and reduce costs.
  • Responsible for all customer inquiries related to product safety, regulatory issues and product-related technical questions.
  • Perform defect root cause analysis, corrective actions and communicates findings to customers, sales force and management.
  • Inspects product defects, tracks trends of quality issues and compiles reports to management.
  • Works with production team to identify improvements in manufacturing processes specific to error proofing and quality assurance/control.
  • Assist engineers in troubleshooting quality issues.
  • Applies SPC methodology to determine process stability.
  • Creates DOE to test defect hypothesizes.
  • Maintain calibration of all quality control equipment and measurement devices.
  • Demonstrates computer skills required for the position – spreadsheet and database software and basic abilities to read and manipulate drawings.
  • Applies 80/20 principals to daily operations.

Job Requirements:

•       Degree in Business Management, Business Administration or Engineering (engineering or technical degree preferred).

•       3-5 years’ experience in industrial manufacturing

•       Experience in a world class manufacturing organization performing quality-related tasks or investigations.

•       Demonstrated success delivering results in a continuous improvement environment (6 Sigma, Lean, etc.).

•       Demonstrated success in change management in a manufacturing environment.

•       Proven ability to lead cross functional teams to execute and complete root cause correct action analysis within 30 days of complaint

•       Technical understanding of industrial engineered products with the ability to communicate technically to customers, suppliers, and co-workers

•       Excellent communication skills, including working across the organization from the shop floor to executive management. Ability to work across all divisional disciplines (HR, sales, finance, operations, & engineering)
