Job Description


Quality Control Coordinator

We are currently seeking a motivated Quality Professional to join our ITW Electronics Components team.  Supporting all 3 ITW ECS product lines (Lumex, ITW Linx & ITW Formex). Under limited supervision, this individual will coordinate and participate in incoming and outgoing inspection of a variety of standard and/or custom electronic components. Responsibilities also include coordinate root cause analysis and corrective action with Customers, internal and external suppliers.


 Knowledge of electronic testing (multimeter, voltmeter, power supplies, and others)

 Perform variety of inspection including but not limited to:

o  Customer stock rotations

o  Return Goods Authorization (RGA), including root cause analysis,

o  Incoming inspection

o  Testing pre-pilot, new product introductions (NPI) & engineering samples

o  Testing supplier substitutions

 Determine disposition of customer returned product, by performing root cause analysis, provide possible solutions and align corrective actions as needed.

 Ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings and electronic specifications

 Use of basic measuring instruments for dimensional, electrical, mechanical and visual inspection

 Work well independently as well as in team; lead quality team to accomplish assigned duties efficiently and effectively.

 Required to complete data inputs such as returned product information and quantities into ERP system as needed.

 Required to communicate with suppliers to communicate product non-conformities, initiate SCARs and follow through to closure through written and verbal communication

 Work with customer service to provide feedback regarding customer complaints, assist with customer interface, provide results of root cause analysis and suggested corrective actions.

 Perform root cause analysis; complete customer requested SCARs

 Assist in compiling and reporting ISO required metrics and key target data, such as customer on-time delivery, RGAs from customers and RMAs to suppliers.

 Issue internal corrective/preventive actions; provide risk management feedback

 Others as assigned

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  High School Diploma requires, Associate’s degree preferred

  Minimum 5 years of experience with quality inspection in Manufacturing/Warehouse environment. Electronic testing/inspection preferred.

  Must have problem-solving/analytical skills, and competent to perform root cause analysis and corrective actions.

  Must have great communication, initiative, time management, and organization skills.

   Proficient in use of Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, and Word)

  Experience working/navigating in ERP system (QAD or SAP).

Additional Skills:

  ISO 9001:2015 Certified Auditor a plus

  Knowledge and understanding of LED and LCD technology is a plus

  Basic knowledge of AutoCad is a plus
