Division Description

Within the Automotive OEM segment, the Powertrain Fastening and Sexton Division is a global operating unit focused on supplying automotive OEM and Tier I customers with specialized engineered fastening systems for automotive powertrains.  The Division also operates a non-automotive can drawing business for low to medium pressure applications. Division revenues are roughly $200M with 5 locations around the world – Powertrain Fastening (Lexington, KY, Naugatuck, CT and Iserlohn, Germany) and Sexton Can (Decatur, AL and Martinsburg, VW).

Essential Functions:

  • Provide QAD technical support for the five locations (four locations in the US, one in Germany) and leverage system capabilities
  • Lead and manage IT projects of various sizes and subject matter, including the QAD system and EDI solution implementations
  • Manage the change process to speed up user adoption of new and existing systems
  • Train and educate users on new technologies to improve productivity
  • Analyze business needs and pain points; provide recommendations
  • Implement new technologies throughout the business unit and division
  • Manage the change process to speed up user adoption of new and existing systems
  • Use project management methodologies and tools to enable consistant quality of IT projects

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology (IT) or equivalent work experience
  • Three (3)+ years work experience with the QAD ERP system in a manufacturing environment
  • fIT systems understanding (Infrastructure, networking, software)
  • Experienced in working in team environments with ability to energize a team or coworkers
  • Experienced in understanding and definition of IT environmental requirements
  • SQL Server knowledge including T-SQL skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
  • Skills should include, but are not limited to:
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment and the flexibility to adapt to global conditions and work hours related to time-zone differences, often requiring occasional work during non-office hours.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of internal and external stakeholders
  • Elevated proficiency within Microsoft Office
  • Experience as a project coordinator/manager
  • Highly analytical
