Project Manager - Rogers, MN

North Star Imaging manufactures, sells and services state-of-the-art X-ray Imaging systems an CT equipment for industrial use. We also design and develop the software applications used in these systems. Our Inspection Services Group offers need based consulting for anyone needing X-ray and/or computed tomography scanning.  In addition, NSI provides a Technical Service & Support team that is on call 24/7 to address immediate global customer service needs. Our corporate office is located in the Twin Cities Metro Area. This facility has approximately 90 highly skilled employees including application specialists, mechanical engineers, software engineers, programmers, level 3 instructors and others.

Successful applicants for this role will have 1-3 years of project management and coordination experience in manufacturing, working for OEMs, preferably in a capital equipment machine build environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain project schedules

  • Make project planning and resource allocation recommendations

  • Keep all stakeholders informed of risks

  • Effectively communicate status of multiple projects

  • Ensure project records are existent and complete

  • Identify and implement process improvements

  • Complete risk management plans as needed

  • Review contractual information and work towards resolutions

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Assist with SOP and work instruction development

  • Assist with ISO 9001 initiatives

  • Generate various reports and orders within ERP system

  • Assist with non-conformances and engineering change notifications

  • Assist with regulatory activities

  • Assist with manufacturability of product including work flow, inventory setup, and work cell development contributing to manufacturing efficiency improvement

  • Assist with manufacturing process time studies and standard work data generation

  • Create and maintain production plans

  • Champion corporate operational initiatives

  • Coordinate activities across different organizational functions

Job Requirements

  • Must be proficient in MS Project, Word, with advanced proficiency in Excel

  • Excellent organization, communication, analytical and project management skills; demonstrated experience with large-scale capital equipment projects; working knowledge of ERP/MRP system

  • Strong personal workload management skills and results-oriented
