  • Maintaining advanced engineering and manufacturing facilities in NA.  
  • Exchanging product, process and benchmarking information with sister units worldwide.  
  • Continually improving processes, material and designs to ensure every product exceeds customer specifications while providing unparalleled value.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 




  • Primary responsibility developing, and ensuring conformity of manufacturing schedules according to customer demand with emphasis minimizing premium freight, slow, and obsolete inventories. 





  • Promotes a safety conscious culture and maintains company compliance to OSHA requirements through participation in training, root cause analysis activities and implementation and sustainability of corrective actions to continuously working toward an accident
    free workplace.   



  • Continuous production improvements maximizing daily resource availability to achieve delivery and performance KPI’s. 



  • Measurement, definition, and initiative implementation of manufacturing limiting variables.  



  • Assisting segment leaders in analyzing downtime data, developing and implementing continuous improvement processes to reduce downtime. 



  • Manage staffing resources to achieve daily production requirements across all manufacturing processes. 





  • Drive adherence and improvement of work instructions to improve manufacturing practices. 



  • Responsible for ensuring expedite orders are produced within required time frame while minimizing production disruption 



  • Develops production floor talent by cross training, developing pipeline, and completing annual performance reviews. 



  • Develops and manages improvement plans for underperforming employees based on production metrics.  



  • Monitors and manages employee time keeping and entering of paid time off as well as adherence to company’s attendance policy 





  • Ability to lead continuous improvement activities through effective root cause analysis and corrective action processes. 



  • Knowledgeable and able to perform tasks and projects utilizing lean manufacturing practices. 



  • Coordination of effective communication between manufacturing personnel implement and continually implement best in class manufacturing practices. 



  • Primary responsibility to develop and implement manufacturing schedules according to customer demand minimizing premium freight, slow, and obsolete inventories. 



  • Participation in the creation of a culture of accountability   





  • Other responsibilities as needed 



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS




  • High school diploma, or GED required, Associates, or Bachelor’s degree preferred 



  • Minimum 2-4+ years operations experience in a manufacturing environment 



  • Cold forming/Metal working experience is preferred 





  • Prior leadership and supervisory experience required 



  • Preferred experience working in Automotive background 



  • Continuous improvement mindset 



  • Ability to work as a part of a fast-paced, shared risk, positive culture team 



  • Strong leadership and communication skills 





  • Ability to read and interpret documents 



  • Basic mathematical ability 



  • Strong problem solving abilities and manage ambiguous scenarios
