ITW Rippey is currently accepting resumes for a Production Supervisor on our weekend night shift. This position is responsible for the day-today operations of the manufacturing and conversion departments in order to ensure production schedules are met in an efficient and safe environment.

Job Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct and control production activities/staff to attain production goals consistent with cost, quality, regulatory and delivery requirements.

  • Review and develop materials, facility, equipment and human resource requirements to meet production goals.

  • Work with engineering and quality management to develop new/improved workflow methods and processes.

  • Work with Human Resources to perform such functions as recruitment, performance, development, promotion, and discipline of employees. Assigns objectives and conducts performance appraisals of direct reports.

  • Maintain accurate staff attendance/disciplinary records.

  • Maintain strict compliance to quality, ISO and Production procedures and directives.

  • Compile, review, analyze, and report production and time data to manager.

  • Responsible for department safety programs and conducting monthly safety meetings with safety officer.

  • Manage materials/product flows and inventory through proficient use of accounting software.

  • Maintain computerized inventory records and provide accurate information as requested by Manager.

  • Responsible for maintenance requirements of equipment to facilitate daily production schedules.

  • Assist in development and management of production procedures and processes.

  • Report any significant concerns/problems with regard to the daily production process.

  • Assist in quality investigations and studies to support corrective actions and/or failure analysis.

  • Perform, in a timely manner, all tasks and objectives, as assigned by Operations Manager relevant to area of responsibility.

  • Other job-related duties as assigned.


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

  • 5+ year’s recent or comparable experience working in manufacturing environment; Or equivalent combination education and experience.

  • Awareness training with hazardous materials.

  • Proven supervisory experience and skills.

  • Good oral and written communication skills.

  • Proficient with MS Word and Excel.  

  • Ability to work as a team leader and member.

  • Working knowledge of regulatory safety standards and excellent safety record.

  • Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
