Title: Production Coordinator              Equal Opportunity Employer


Summary:



Coordinates production efforts to meet customer expectations and management’s goals and expectations. This is accomplished via scheduling/planning, ordering and monitoring vendor components/pricing; tracking inventory levels, daily shipping requirements, and customer orders.


Duties and Responsibilities:



  Maintains inventory accuracy, carries out the necessary inventory transactions on the ERP system.


  Responsible for the creation of all new AR#’s in system


  Acts as a central contact for all vendors, ensures on time delivery per release schedules from vendor


  Orders inventory items from the vendors and ensures all inventory items are in plant to run production


  Orders parts and components from outsourced vendors


  Ability to interface effectively with all employees through senior leadership


  Works with vendors and production team on the build out of product during design change


  Works with the suppliers and customers on the build out of product prior to programs end of life.


  Send pick lists to Ship and reviews customer orders for large changes and adjusts vendor releases accordingly (if unable to meet delivery date, notifies Customer and Production Manager)


 Reviews daily shipment requirements, assist with bill of lading and notify appropriate leader of any deficiencies


 Acts as a central customer contact for both molding and assembly


 Enter purchase orders and customer pricing in computer system


 Ensure correct products are shipped


 Audit shipments for accuracy


 Responsible for continuous improvements of material process


 Partner with shipping and related departments to identify resolves vendor delivery issues.


 Completed any other duties as assigned.



Qualifications:



 High school diploma or GED required, Bachelor’s Degree in related field a plus


 At least 3 years manufacturing experience,


 At least 1 year of job related experience


 Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal


 Computer proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel with the ability to create spreadsheets with calculations, required, Trans4M a plus


 Ability to prioritize and multi-task high volume, in a fast-paced environment


 Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills


 Must have the ability to work in a team or individually


 Must be self-motivated and willing to grow and develop skills for advancement


 Experience with Material Requirement Planning (MRP).


 Knowledge of Kanban/Pull systems a plus


 Must be flexible to work overtime and weekends


 Working knowledge of manufacturing systems, best practices, and continuous improvement principles preferred


 Possess excellent customer service skills



Physical Demands:



 Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds repetitively 


 Work normally requires a low level of physical effort in bending, stooping, lifting, and manual dexterity


 Computer/telephone use is moderate


 Occasional travel to attend meetings as needed 


 Ability to stand for long periods of time is essential, frequent walking
