Job Description


This position ensures physical inventory matches system inventory, maintains accurate customer open order report. Other duties as assigned including backfilling for others in the Materials Department.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Maintain accurate inventory records to facilitate shortage detection
• Review and apply inventory activities, including movements and deletions
• Verify all variances and investigate causes of inventory imbalance.
• Conduct cycle counts and period end inventories with warehouse personnel.
• Work with production department, BOM engineering admin and warehouse to ensure the orderly flow of material: from order entry through invoicing, purchasing to receiving, and receiving to shipping. Ensure that any adjustments or changes are correct and will reflect an accurate cycle count and system inventory accuracy.
• Work with production and warehouse personnel to ensure inventory is organized and in countable condition.
• Set-up and maintain systems for proper receiving and shipping procedures relating to cycle counting
• Ensure operator production reports are created correctly and partner with production leads to ensure operators are trained to fill them out properly. 
• Responsible for the creation of all new AR#’s in system
• Maintain accurate customer open order report 
• Assists in compiling data related to special projects, as requested by supervisor
• Completed any other duties as assigned.  

Job Requirements


• High school diploma or GED required, bachelor’s Degree a plus
• 2+ years’ manufacturing experience required in inventory, purchasing materials, components
• Computer proficient in Microsoft Office, required, Trans4M a plus
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Must have the ability to work in a team or individually
• Must be self-motivated and willing to grow and develop skills for advancement
• Must be flexible to work overtime and weekends
• Strong communication skills and data accuracy

Physical Demands: 
• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds repetitively 
• Work normally requires a low level of physical effort in bending, stooping, lifting, and manual dexterity
• Computer use is heavy
• Must be able to stand / walk for long periods of time
• Must have no issues with heights
• Occasional travel as needed 
• Ability to stand for long periods of time is essential, frequent walking
