Job Summary: 

Provides management of all facilities-related activities, including a wide range of mechanical, electrical, industrial, packaging and manufacturing engineering services. This includes direct management of the internal maintenance team as well as evaluation of external service providers.  Responsible for assessment of manufacturing processes, identification of improvement opportunities, and project management around implementation of identified solutions. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops, configures and optimizes manufacturing processes from ideation through implementation and certification.
  • Continually assesses processes and SOPs, utilizing measurements, simulations, and other available data to make recommendations on improvement opportunities.
  • Hires, trains and maintains a proficient workforce within allotted budgets. Motivates and develops high morale while implementing company policies.
  • Manages the completion of maintenance and preventative maintenance schedules. Utilizes a work order system to ensure that all work requests are acted upon promptly.
  • Organizes and maintains all maintenance and equipment records, data, information and blueprints.
  • Responsible for maintaining all buildings, grounds and utilities in safe working condition.
  • Makes recommendations to management on the replacement or upgrade of equipment, providing economic justifications as required. Advises on the proper methods of equipment operation and routine maintenance.
  • Evaluates outside service providers for suitability, prepares economic evaluations/justifications, assists in managing equipment installations and changes, and performs post completion audits of projects.
  • Manage all facilities-related service providers (ex- custodial, landscaping, exterminator, etc.)
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • BS in Engineering or related technical field.
  • At least five (5) years’ experience in Engineering, project management, and/or technically related work in a manufacturing environment with proven hands-on manufacturing process engineering experience with experience managing capital projects from specification development and the RFQ process, through full implementation, including contractor supervision.
  • Previous supervisor experience highly preferred.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong PC skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, AutoCAD).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Thorough attention to detail in all activities
  • Professional presentation skills
  • In depth understanding of OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations and the ability to determine the applicability of these regulations to Evercoat’s processes, ensuring compliance
  • Travel required (<20%)
