Description Position at Valeron

Design, update and implement Routers containing BOM & process steps, work instructions, etc.
Actively involved in the Request for Quote process
Establish manufacturing tolerance, as well as design & develop manufacturing fixtures.
Organize and forecast overall cost reduction in terms of yield improvement plan, productivity improvement plan, and capacity plan
Coordinate yield improvement projects for management review
Coordinate on-time delivery improvement project for management review
Analyze in-process failure or customer failure using SEM/EDX, video microscope, ICP, etc.
Reduce waste in process, create efficiencies, and participate in continuous improvement projects
Develop, characterize and implement processes for fabrication use 

Engineering degree: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Material Science and a minimum of 8 years relevant experience or a Masters and a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
Strong verbal & written communication skills
Experience in developing and implementing new processes
Experience in process improvements for quality characteristics or cost reduction
Statistical analysis for process capability and SPC
Experience with 6-Sigma methodologies preferred
Experience with LEAN methodologies preferred
Plastic processing experience preferred
Project management of mid-size / complexity value system preferred
Statistical Process Control development preferred
Writing SQL queries for data analysis / reporting preferred
Hands-on experience with hardware, instrumentation and data acquisition preferred Quality investigation techniques preferred
