Job Description


ITW Welding continues to build its capabilities in power electronics design in order to create world class welding power supplies for our customers. To support the effort, we are looking for a motivated, Power Electronics Intern to join our team this summer. As a Power Electronics Summer Intern at Miller Electric you will gain hands-on exposure to day-to-day operations and assist with projects and research that bring in cost savings or revenue opportunity for Miller Electric Mfg. LLC.


  • Begin to focus on specific engineering disciplines (e.g. power, control, communication, packaging, magnetics, thermal)
  • Participate in project meetings and be responsible for assigned action items
  • Learn basic problem solving skills
  • Begin understanding of standards, procedures and practices

Job Requirements


  • Pursing Bachelor's Degree is Electrical Engineering
  • Interest in power semiconductor selection and testing
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and technical knowledge
  • Classroom experience with power electronics and microprocessors
  • In at least junior year of school
  • This individual must be a self-starter and have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to be proactive in recognizing improvement opportunities
  • Candidate must be a team player with a positive attitude
