Division Description:

ITW Industrial Components manufactures various mechanical, electromechanical and injection molded components like sensors, switches, electronic controls and security sealing solutions with a variety of manufacturing processes. We have a global footprint with units in US, Asia and Europe. 

Within the Industrial Components segment, Envopak is a high-volume manufacturer of security seals for the aviation and cash markets. Having identified these sectors as key to the long term growth of the unit, we are seeking to leverage existing customer relationships, and existing products to become a global market influencer in the security industry.

Position Summary:

Directs and coordinates all phases of plant operations with focus on production, manufacturing engineering, quality and supply chain activities.  Establishes and enforces standards and best practices for the business that align with company policies and procedures.  Has full accountability for all day-to-day business operations with responsibility for financial performance product costing, implementation of reduction initiatives and capital forecasting, and supply chain.   Works closely with production team and drive improvements to increase efficiencies and profitability within the manufacturing facility.  Responsible for annual budget planning and execution. Uses influence and collaboration to achieve results and leads the implementation of the ITW Business Model and sourcing strategy and uses the most recent data to execute differentiation between 80/20 products & customer.



  • Actively analyze Key Performance Indicators for the manufacturing facility and adjust/implement lean manufacturing and quality processes and systems leveraging ITW Toolbox – 80/20, PLS, In-Lining, MRD and other related world class manufacturing improvement techniques/framework to produce optimum operational excellence and P&L improvement.
  • Through effective planning, maximize deployment of existing capital and manufacturing resource to service the needs of “80" customers at optimum cost level. Analyse existing manufacturing footprint and build investment strategy around core market segments.
  • Lead, direct and manage all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility.
    • Depending on the scope, complexity and size of the business, the plant manager may be required to act as Site Leader or convener for all non-operational functions on site, which may include corporate and regional functions for engineering, IT, finance and Human Resources that may reside on site. 
    • Initiate and drive cross functional communication with engineering, IT, finance, Human Resources to create robust operational alignment.
    • Implement strategic initiatives driven by the Division, aligning team-based processes to drive operational performance and continuous improvement, fully utilize skills of all employees in contributing to strategic goals.
  • Ensures utilization of human resource talent within its organization structure and champions the ITW Leadership Development framework, developing talent within the business to increase pipeline depth.  Identifying key leaders for future roles. Create and maintain training matrix to standardize talent development:
  • Analyze and manage the facility’s financial performance, implementing policies and procedures that support and drive annual plan and LRP (long range plan).  
  • Create a “quality first" environment. Proactively direct the resolution of operational, quality and maintenance issues to ensure effective management of cost and prevention of operational delays. Become ISO leader for the site to ensure standards are maintained.
  • Must be able to foster, communicate and exemplify the values of ITW; act with integrity and trust, operate with simplicity, treat everyone with respect, take shared risk. Works effectively in a matrix environment and employs an ITW first mindset when needed.
  • Actively analyze productivity and capacity utilization, including outside processing. Maintain relationship and share best practice with Asian production partners.
  • Maximize the conditions for safety within the manufacturing operations and become H&S committee key advisor accountable for the site.

Job Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Master’s or Bachelor's degree in Engineering with emphasis on business courses, or equivalent management experience
  • Good command of English, both written and oral for effective communication with other ITW units and business leaders.
  • Experience in production management; front-line leadership
  • Practical experience leading production, quality, supply chain and/or manufacturing engineering.
  • Excellent time management, prioritization and project management skills.
  • Strong business analytical skills, solid financial abilities including working knowledge of budgeting.
  • Exceptional track record of developing and implementing operational plans to improve efficiency.
  • Ability to manage complexity and change and communication clarity of message.
  • Demonstrated ability to make tough business and leadership decisions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues and staff to create a results driven, team-oriented environment.
