Position Summary:

Provide overall leadership and management of plant personnel and functions in compliance with all applicable policies, business objectives and performance targets.   Lead continuous improvements in safety, quality, delivery and operating costs.  Develop operating
strategies, annual financial plans, capital budgets and personnel resource plans.


  • Develop and deliver on key short term and long term financial performance metrics.
  • Actively analyze Key Performance Indicators for plant operation and implement Model Factory leveraging the ITW Toolbox – PLS, 80/20, etc., lean principals, 5S and related world class manufacturing improvement techniques/framework to produce optimum operational
    excellence and P&L improvement.
  • Establish strategic initiatives aligning team-based processes to drive operational strategies and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure proper operational availability, including approval of capital equipment requirements and assurance of successful product launches to meet customer requirements.
  • Provide open communication and participate directly in positive employee relations activities.
  • Champions the ITW Leadership Development framework, building depth and diversity of talent within the business.Identifies and develops key leaders for future roles.
  • Coach and lead production teams in the use of 80-20 Toolbox to drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead, develop and implement policies and procedures that support and drive annual plan andlong range plan.
  • Pro actively direct the resolution of operational, quality, and maintenance issues to ensure effective management of cost and prevention of operational delays.  
  • Responsible for meeting profit and operating goals, achieving operational labor metrics and efficiency metrics.Responsible for location capital project management.
  • Manage the execution of production schedules to meet 100% of customer needs.
  • Ensure safety, legal, and regulatory compliance programs are in place and adherence.
  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with key company officials, vendors, and customers (internal and external)
  • Represent the plant in the community and promote the company’s goodwill and interests in community activities

  • BA or BS degree, preferably in engineering, operations management or business

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a management role in a fast paced manufacturing environment, preferably within automotive
  • Demonstrated experience to work with sales and engineering to grow the business
  • Strong working knowledge of budgets and  P&L statements
  • Proven metrics driven management style
  • Coaching and mentoring leadership style
  • Must be process oriented with a strong bias to results.

  • History of holding employees at all levels accountable to results and rewarding outstanding efforts of team members
  • Must be a change agent with energy, passion, & enthusiasm

  •  Self-motivated with excellent organizational, analytical, problem solving and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong PC skills, including proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
