Alpine is seeking a Plant Manager for our Litchfield, IL facility to provide leadership and direction for team members to safely manufacture high volume, low-cost quality products, which meet customers’ requirements in cost, delivery, and value.  This role will support all Alpine operational goals and its mission statement through the establishment and management of systems and processes which identify and meet business goals and objectives.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Act as a team champion to develop the best manufacturing, safety, maintenance and inventory management processes possible
  • Encourage and empower teams to communicate openly regarding all issues and to pursue new avenues of action and improvement
  • Identify, lead and develop talent in order to maximize individual, team and organizational effectiveness in meeting company goals
  • Create a workplace that fosters a stellar safety work record and encourages constant improvement in our safety metrics
  • Manage capacity requirements and efficiencies with an emphasis on improving both methods and quality while reducing costs
  • Produce reliable, quality products to market rate of demand that best meet our customer needs
  • Control inventory levels of finished and raw material goods to the optimum levels required to meet customer delivery expectations
  • Manages budget, standards and measurement processes while profitably operating the plant within all applicable, legal, safety and environmental requirements
  • Interface with Engineering and Supplier functions to develop a process that ensures absolute compatibility with product design and manufacturing process
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • BS in Manufacturing Technology or Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years of successful plant management experience encompassing all facets of plant operations management
  • Strong people leader with excellent coaching/mentoring abilities and strong team/interpersonal skills
  • Change agent, with ability to recognize process improvements and evaluate business alternatives thoroughly
  • Strategic vision with the ability to understand tactics necessary to achieve company goals
  • Strong planning, organizational and project management skills
  • Strong multi-tasking, analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to constructively interact with others to resolve issues and improve the operation
  • Good understanding of budgetary development and financial management
  • Clear and concise communication skills both written and verbal. Computer literate with knowledge of MS Office Suite required
  • Must be able to travel up to 15%
