Job Description

The Plant Manager is responsible for the profitable operation of the Libertyville plant within all applicable, legal, safety and environmental requirements in order to safely manufacturing quality products that meet customer requirements in regard to cost, delivery, and value. 

ITW Construction provides a variety of fastening systems and truss products for the commercial, residential, and remodeling/renovation segments. With products manufactured at locations around the globe serving markets in North America, Europe, Asia, New Zealand and Australia.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Produce reliable and quality tools that best meet customer needs while meeting market demands 
  • Manage capacity requirements and efficiencies to improve quality and methods while reducing costs
  • Control inventory levels of finished/component goods to support a successful assembly process
  • Develop and manage the annual budget
  • Create and maintain a safe workplace which encourages teams to communicate openly regarding all issues and to pursue new avenues of response and improvement
  • Identify, lead and develop talent to maximize individual, team and organizational effectiveness    
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing or Engineering required  
  • 5+ years of successful management experience encompassing all facets of operations management
  • Experience setting the strategic vision and implementing tactics necessary to achieve company goals
  • Demonstrated ability to constructively lead, motivate and influence direct and indirect team members to resolve issues and improve the operation
  • Strong understanding of budgetary development and management
  • Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Computer literate
  • Up to 10% travel
