Job Description

Job Title:     Payroll Administrator

Reports To:    Finance Manager

The Role

Reporting to the finance manager, you will be responsible for payroll processes on site. Working with our outsourced provider, you will ensure accurate monthly payments are made to our employees as well as being responsible for the calculations that drive variable payments (overtime, commission payments, bonuses etc). You will own the end to end employee expenses process, as well being responsible for annual tax reporting such as P11D’s & Class 1B NI submissions.

Being part of an outsourced payroll solution, at certain times of the month you will have scope to support other parts of the finance function, as required.

Responsibilities

 Run monthly payroll for the business

 Work closely with the business to ensure all costs are controlled and receive the appropriate level of authorisation

 Work with applicable stakeholders (heads of departments, IT) to increase the accuracy of data driving payroll processes

 Ensure expenses & VAT policies are followed, and provide financial authorisation to all expenses claimed by the business

 Work to simplify processes and procedures where needed

 Support other areas of finance as required

 Undertake any other duties as appropriate within your competence, as required by line manager.

 Responsible to comply with GDPR regulations in line with company policy

 Conduct yourself in a safe manner and support the company Enterprise Strategy to achieve our target of zero medical treated and lost time accidents; to support our company wide safety culture.

 Excellent eye for detail and a perfectionist by nature.

 Comfortable challenging and questioning data when required.

 Due to the outsourced nature of our payroll function, a senior payroll background is not required, however having prior experience in payroll & related processes is essential.

 Good problem solver

 Competent user of Microsoft Office Suite, with excellent Excel skills

 Demonstrate the ITW core values - Integrity, Respect, Trust, Shared Risk and Simplicity.

 Previous experience of the ADP system is desirable.
