Job Description


This position ensures parts and service manufacturing process and procedures are followed.  Implements process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.  Coordinates production efforts to meet customer expectations and management’s goals and expectations. This is accomplished via scheduling employees with proper work functions, checking inventory, reviewing customer orders, checking paperwork, training, and monitoring the daily output.


Primary Responsibilities: 

·       Ability to lead, motivate and develop team members.  Ensures that employees receive training, new and on-going.

·       Consults with team and provides management with updates when orders are not being met

·       Enhances continuous improvement plans and audits of systems

·       Responsible for packaging of part components, computer network and billing issues for service, inventory control – cycle counts of parts and components, product organization and maintenance of service department, provide counter measures for shipping discrepancies, contact supplier/vendors for components and finished goods

·       Ensures there is adequate employee coverage for the parts & service operation

·       Monitors production to ensure deliveries will be on time.  Escalate delivery concerns where applicable to Production Supervisors/Manager and Quality

·       Maintains parts & service log and coordinates schedules with molding and assembly operations

·       Maintains inventory accuracy for materials used and manufacture

·       Notifies customers and molding department of any potential late or missed deliveries

·       Serves as liaison between customer and ITW 

·       Enforces and aids in the implementation of safety practices and policies. 

·       Enforces good housekeeping

·       Completes any other duties as assigned. 


Job Requirements


·       High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor’s Degree a plus

·       3+ years supervisory experience

·       3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment

·       Experience in leading a team required

·       Shipping/Receiving experience a plus

·       Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office, Trans4M a plus

·       Must have ability to mentor and coach individuals

·       Motivate to grow and develop own skills for advancement

·       Must be flexible to work overtime and weekends

·       Strong communication skills and data accuracy

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
