   JOB DESCRIPTION                           

Title: Order Management Supervisor

Summary:

The Order Management Supervisor plans, organizes and directs the customer service departments for ITW Global Brands to ensure that customers’ existing and future needs are quickly recognized and fulfilled with the highest quality of service.  Ensures the volume of work produced meets our service standards and exceeds quality standards. Approves personnel activities concerning hiring, training and evaluation of staff performance.  Makes hiring decisions and conducts performance appraisals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plans, organizes and directs Customer Service department
  • Develops and establishes procedures and policies focused upon continuous improvement, rigorous application of ITW’s 80/20 Philosophy and Principles
  • Oversees staff development and training needs
  • Manages departmental expenses
  • Ensures staff has necessary tools to perform daily tasks
  • Communicates regularly with Sales & other functions to ensure optimal customer service
  • Fully understands and assists with related pricing policies, price increases, promotions, price deviations inventory & order fulfillment.  Ensures proper approvals are in place.
  • Manages the issuance of Consumer refunds and the handling of Liability Claims
  • Assists Order Management team with resolution of order issues to ensure timely shipments
  • Conducts performance evaluations and salary reviews for assigned staff.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
  • Thorough understanding of Order Management and Customer Service Best Practices
  • Experience supporting and/or working directly with “Big Box” Retailers
  • Demonstrated understanding of supply chain management and logistics
  • Consumer Packaged Goods company experience is a plus

  • Proficient computer skills - MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • MRP/ERP experience; JD Edwards is a plus
  • Experience working in a warehouse, manufacturing plant, or other supply chain function a plus
